Process

Katie Reynolds Design offers a flexible approach to every project. Whilst naturally the design process differs between house and garden, the core stages have been briefly summarised below and can be discussed in relation to your specific project during an initial visit.

Initial Visit to Quote

Katie visits your home or business to discuss your project and tell you about the company and the services offered (this is free for visits in Aberdeen/Aberdeenshire, small fee outwith this area which will be refunded if the project goes ahead). Following the meeting, Katie provides you with a quote based on the size of the project and the work involved.

Brief and Survey

Once the project officially starts, a meeting is arranged to discuss the brief in depth, in order to fully understand your requirements, your style and preferences. The house and/or garden is also measured and surveyed in detail, with soil samples taken for the garden.

Design Process

Katie undertakes a meticulous design process analysing all elements of the brief and space, in which you are consulted throughout. You will be presented with scaled CAD drawings, plans, elevations, sample boards, sketches and product/plant lists as applicable. At this stage the project can be handed to you to take on, or Katie can oversee the implementation of the work, or a combination of the two - the process is tailored to your preferences.

Project Coordination

Katie will purchase all items and make site visits as required, taking the project through every stage from conception to completion.
